The works include plant life...Oya is Yoruba goddess of storms and rapid change. These works were made after a trip to Lagos and reflect a period of unavoidable change. The works include plant life similar to that found in stagnant bodies of water that turn red in so-called 'bloody' transformations, such as Lake Bogoria in Kenya. The technique involves creating monoprints by using fabric to print onto paper, capturing the passageways of water.1of 17
