Nahom Teklehaimanot is an Eritrean artist whose work unfolds through layers of image, memory, and time. Working with collage and airbrush, he reconfigures archival fragments into fluid, fractured compositions. His surfaces hover between presence and absence -- soft yet ruptured -- evoking longing, dislocation, and the ghost-trace of memory. Rooted in the emotional landscapes of migration and belonging, Nahom's visual language is both intimate and expansive: a meditation on what we carry, what we lose, and the quiet resilience that endures in between.
Teklehaimanot has presented solo exhibitions including When Home Won’t Let You Stay at Addis Fine Art Gallery, Addis Ababa (2024); Unspoken Wars at AKKA Project Gallery, Venice (2024); and Connectivity of the Identity at The Gallery, Asmara (2019). His work has also been shown in group exhibitions such as Figure This at Sarah Kravitz Gallery, London (2023); Fictions at Circle Art Gallery, Nairobi (2022); 4x4+1 at Chilly Art Project Gallery, London (2022); and Various Small Fires at Circle Art Gallery, Nairobi (2021). He participated in the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, London (2024).
In early 2026 he will be taking part in The Biennale of Sydney.
