Circle Art Gallery is presenting a solo show for Jackie Karuti.

Jackie Karuti is an artist based in Nairobi. She has in recent years gained positive attention for her experimental and conceptual work using new media where she explores themes of alternate worlds, space, death and sexuality through drawings, installations, video and performance art. Karuti is an alumna of the Gasworks residency program in London and Asiko, an alternative art school hosted in different African cities. She has participated in several exhibitions and residencies, both locally and abroad, which has also seen her collaborate with other artists and institutions in various film, photography and academic projects.
